Trellis, an AI-native operations platform for short-term rental property managers, has been accepted into the prestigious Y Combinator programme. Co-founded by Jan, a Spanish-French entrepreneur, and Lodovico Benvenuti, an Italian operator, Trellis seeks to address the fragmentation in property management technology by providing an orchestration layer that integrates with existing systems.

The platform's AI agents autonomously manage operations such as guest communications, maintenance, and revenue management, aiming to streamline processes for property managers. "Property managers don't suffer from a lack of technology. They suffer from fragmentation," said Jan, highlighting the need for a cohesive system.

Benvenuti added that Trellis is designed to overcome the operational ceiling many property managers face, typically around 50 listings, where quality and homeowner retention often decline. The platform's capabilities are being tested at Xenia Milano, a property management company previously scaled by Benvenuti, ensuring that features are proven in a live environment before broader release.

Trellis's entry into Y Combinator marks a significant step in its mission to transform hospitality operations through reliable autonomous systems. The company is currently expanding its customer base, boasting over 30 property management companies and 3,000 listings globally. As Trellis nears the completion of Y Combinator's current batch, it is also preparing to raise its Series Seed funding, further solidifying its position in the industry
