SATS-Creuers Cruise Services, operator of Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore (MBCCS), has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Arts Council (NAC) to transform the cruise terminal into a vibrant platform for local artists. This initiative aims to integrate Singapore's arts and culture into one of the country's key international gateways, offering artists a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse audience of cruise travellers.

Gregory Tan, CEO of SATS-Creuers, highlighted the terminal's role as a gateway to Singapore's culture, stating, "Through our partnership with NAC, we hope to broaden the reach of our local arts community and create meaningful opportunities for home-grown talents." Lynette Pang, Deputy CEO of NAC, added, "By bringing the arts into MBCCS, we hope that more travellers will encounter and connect with the diversity of Singapore’s arts and culture."

Over the next three years, MBCCS will host a variety of performing and visual arts events, including multicultural musical performances during peak cruise periods and the installation of contemporary murals. The first of these, a mural titled "Manifest" by local artist Eunice Hannah Lim, has already been unveiled. This artwork, which reflects Singapore's maritime history and cultural heritage, will greet passengers at the terminal.

This collaboration marks the beginning of several planned arts activations at MBCCS, aiming to enrich the travel experience and promote Singapore's artistic landscape.
