Qatar has announced an ambitious 2026/2027 events calendar featuring over 560 events across sports, arts, culture, and entertainment. The diverse programme aims to attract international visitors by offering a wide array of experiences, from the excitement of Formula 1 at Lusail International Circuit to the cultural allure of Art Basel Qatar.

The calendar, unveiled by Visit Qatar, is designed to showcase the country's ability to host world-class events and create seamless experiences for tourists. The initiative aims to encourage visitors to explore beyond Doha, with events planned in regions like Lusail City and Al Shamal. For the first time, the Qatar International Food Festival will be held in Lusail City, highlighting the country's culinary scene.

"Qatar’s strength as a leading tourism destination lies not only in the diversity of experiences it offers, but in its exceptional ability to bring together world-class events, strategic partnerships and seamless experiences," said Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi, CEO of Visit Qatar.

Autumn will be a particularly active season, with moderate temperatures allowing for outdoor activities such as desert excursions and beach visits. The calendar also integrates cultural and sporting events, enabling visitors to enjoy a comprehensive itinerary during their stay.

To facilitate planning, Qatar Calendar will centralise event information on Visit Qatar's digital platforms. A new digital ticketing platform is set to launch in late 2026, simplifying event access for visitors. With this extensive line-up, Qatar aims to strengthen its position as a premier global destination for tourism and major events.
