The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched the third edition of its ASEAN India+ Shoppers in Thailand 2026 campaign, extending its reach across ASEAN and South Asia. Running from September to November, the campaign offers shopping, dining, and lifestyle privileges nationwide under the theme “MORE VALUE. MORE THAILAND.” This initiative seeks to enhance visitor spending and solidify Thailand's status as a premier shopping and lifestyle destination.
Parichat Boonclai, TAT Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications, highlighted the importance of ASEAN and South Asia as key markets, citing strong travel connections and demand for Thai products. “ASEAN India+ Shoppers in Thailand 2026 is designed to turn awareness into travel, spending and return visits,” she stated. The campaign aims to increase visitor spending and distribute tourism income more widely among Thai brands, SMEs, and local businesses.
The campaign involves over 50 partners, including King Power International, Central and Robinson department stores, The Mall Group, and Siam Piwat. These partners offer discounts, vouchers, and exclusive privileges valued between 500 to 2,000 Baht, encouraging spending in Bangkok and other destinations.
Building on the success of previous editions, which generated over 81 million Baht in revenue, the 2026 campaign targets 30,000 tourists and aims to generate 244 million Baht in tourism revenue. It also seeks to attract travellers from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, expanding beyond the established ASEAN and Indian markets.
With 23.4 million international arrivals recorded from January to September, TAT forecasts 33 million by year-end. The ASEAN India+ Shoppers campaign supports this outlook by encouraging regional visitors to engage more in shopping and lifestyle experiences across Thailand.
