JHVEPhoto / Shutterstock.comExpedia Group has launched Autonomous Onboarding, a new feature enabling hotels to join its global travel marketplace swiftly and seamlessly. Announced today, the tool allows properties to connect through their existing software and go live in less than 24 hours, eliminating the need for a separate onboarding process.
The new capability simplifies the integration process by automatically transferring and validating key property information, such as room types, rates, and amenities, directly from the hotel's current software. This innovation allows properties to access Expedia Group's extensive consumer brands, a B2B network of over 75,000 partners, and 200,000 travel advisers, as well as AI-powered travel experiences.
Developed with the collaboration of five launch partners—HotelRunner, Yanolja Cloud Solutions, RoomCloud, RateGain, and Eviivo—Autonomous Onboarding is part of Expedia Group's broader vision for Autonomous Distribution. Chris Hodges, VP of Global Connectivity & Partner Solutions at Expedia Group, stated, "Adding a new source of demand should not add a new layer of work. Autonomous Onboarding makes it much easier for properties to join Expedia Group through the technology they already use."
This initiative marks the first phase in Expedia Group's journey towards a more intelligent and streamlined distribution lifecycle, aiming to reduce manual processes and enhance business growth for its partners. As the travel industry continues to evolve, such innovations are poised to offer significant advantages to properties seeking to tap into global travel demand efficiently.
