Sheraton Hotels & Resorts will launch ‘Gatherings by Sheraton’ in November across 15 markets in Asia Pacific, excluding China. The programme will bring guests and local communities together through experiences inspired by local food, crafts, wellbeing and everyday rituals.
The initiative aims to turn Sheraton’s public spaces into hubs for cultural exchange. Each hotel will adapt the programme to its local community.
“At Sheraton, we see an opportunity to turn these everyday encounters into more meaningful connections,” said Cristiano Rinaldi, Chief Lodging Product & Services Officer for Asia Pacific excluding China at Marriott International.
Highlights include blind tastings of Kagoshima’s celebrated teas at Sheraton Kagoshima, rooftop sunset encounters with bees at Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park, and a Vietnamese Craft Journey at Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel. These activities will showcase local traditions and craftsmanship while encouraging guests to connect with their surroundings.
The programme will also feature Indonesia’s Finish-Line Maxxing, Malaysia and Singapore’s After Five, and Thailand’s Offline Sabai Social. Each offers a distinct cultural experience.
Through Gatherings by Sheraton, the brand aims to foster a sense of belonging among travellers and local communities. The programme will also give residents opportunities to share and celebrate their traditions.
