Auko Eco-Wellness Lodges in Phong Nha, Vietnam, has won two international awards just three months after opening. It received the HICAP 2026 Sustainable Hotel Award in the Sustainable Design category. It also won Gold in the Sustainable Hospitality Space category at the VMARK F&B Excellence Awards 2026. Both awards recognise its approach to sustainable design and environmental responsibility.
Auko sits along the Son River within the Phong Nha–Ke Bang UNESCO World Heritage landscape. Its design blends with the natural surroundings. The property features 30 eco-wellness tented lodges arranged in small clusters. Elevated bamboo walkways and reclaimed timber structures help the lodges adapt to seasonal flooding while protecting the environment.
The property also holds EDGE Advanced certification. This recognises its reduced energy and water consumption compared with conventional buildings. Auko uses solar power and eliminates single-use plastics. It also works with local communities to support resilience and biodiversity.
Van Phu Real Estate Development JSC developed the property, while Lumina Wellbeing operates it. Auko offers all-inclusive stays with wellness programmes, nature-based activities and cultural experiences. These experiences connect guests with the surrounding environment and local communities.
With two international awards in its first three months, Auko is gaining recognition as a new model for sustainable hospitality in Vietnam.
