The Orient Express Corinthian, the world's largest sailing yacht, has arrived in Bridgetown, marking the start of its Caribbean season. Following a transatlantic crossing from Lisbon, the yacht will sail through the Caribbean, the Bahamas and Florida from October 2026 to spring 2027. The voyage continues the Orient Express tradition of making the journey itself a central part of the experience.
The yacht's itineraries will connect destinations across the region, including the Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Saint Martin and Puerto Rico. In January 2027, a five-night voyage will take passengers from Marigot, Saint-Martin, to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Stops include St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Virgin Gorda.
Designed by Maxime d’Angeac, the 220-metre yacht features 54 suites with panoramic sea views and butler service. Culinary experiences come under the direction of 18-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno. Guests can choose from five restaurants and eight bars on board. Other amenities include a Guerlain Spa, an amphitheatre and a suspended swimming lane.
The yacht features three SolidSail rigs and hybrid LNG propulsion, showcasing advances in wind-powered maritime technology. Caribbean voyages start at $6,400 (€6,000) per night. Bookings are available at orient-express.com.
As the Corinthian begins its Caribbean season, it combines luxury and adventure, offering passengers a distinctive approach to sea travel.
