VIVA Cruises has renamed its Douro river ship Porto Mirante as VIVA MIRANTE, effective immediately. The ship is preparing for its first full season under the VIVA Cruises brand, with 32 departures scheduled between March and November 2027.
VIVA MIRANTE accommodates 120 guests in 60 cabins. Upper and middle deck cabins feature French balconies. Onboard facilities include two restaurants, a panoramic lounge and bar, a fitness room and a sun deck with a pool and loungers. The ship also has a sky lounge and boutique shop.
Michelle Daniels, Director of Sales for UK & Ireland and Australia & New Zealand at VIVA Cruises, welcomed the addition to the fleet. She highlighted the ship's combination of relaxation and exploration.
The Douro is known for its vineyards, historic towns and scenic landscapes. VIVA Cruises will update the ship's exterior branding and marketing materials to reflect its new name.
A sample 2027 itinerary features a seven-night Douro cruise departing Porto on 23 June. Stops include Folgosa, Vega Terrón, Pocinho, Pinhão and Régua. Prices start at $2,795 (£2,295) per person.
The fare includes meals, premium drinks, a daily replenished minibar and Wi-Fi, forming part of VIVA Cruises' all-inclusive offering.
