Mamaka Phuket brings 1960s glamour to Bang Tao

Mamaka Phuket, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, will open in Bang Tao this December. The 165-room property marks the Tapestry Collection by Hilton's debut in Phuket. It combines retro-inspired design, rooftop dining and wellness facilities, targeting both international travellers and the local creative community.

Studio SANTHAYA designed the hotel around the glamour of the 1960s. Its interiors draw inspiration from Palm Springs and Phuket's historic Sino-Portuguese architecture. Botanical green, muted blue and dusty coral pink create a nostalgic yet contemporary atmosphere.

Accommodation includes the Swagger Suite collection, with rooms starting at 41 sqm. Suites feature Marshall Bluetooth speakers and cocktail stations.

Dining options include Bruno's, a 130-seat all-day restaurant. Rooftop venue Rue Hamra will open later in the season.

Wellness facilities include Saint Gaia spa, with themed treatment rooms and a bath house. A 24-hour gym will offer personal training and Muay Thai sessions.

Guests can also join pizza-making and mixology classes. The hotel will organise beach clean-ups to support local sustainability initiatives.

Shivang Jhunjhnuwala, Chief Operating Officer, said: “With the Hilton name behind us, we are excited to open in December, and see how we can make a positive impact on people from all around the globe.”

Mamaka Phuket will participate in Hilton Honors, giving members access to exclusive loyalty programme benefits.
