Purpose of the Role

People & Culture Manager, Japan is an amazing opportunity for aspirational HR professionals – you would be fully accountable to end to end Human Resources activities in Japan market and Amadeus would support you through wide range of delegation and backup as one global team.

You would be able to establish your own HR strategy tailor-made to Japan market by blending variety of items which would contributes to the success of business – business partnering, talent and performance management, compensation and benefit strategy and engagement etc.

Main responsibilities

Talent

  1. Acquisition

– Engage with business leaders and understand staffing needs
– Identify suitable candidates via appropriate sourcing channels and participate selection process
– Compose and execute salary proposal and take care until full deployment
– Lead execution of APAC regional talent strategy

  1. Development

– Analyze learning needs and decide program to implement in line with talent management plan
– Implement decided training program in local market

  1. Management

– Facilitate Talent Review exercise periodically following the global guideline
– Identify high-potential employee and design dedicated development plan
– Consider succession planning and monitor and doncult business when people move

Compensation & Benefit, Manpower

  1. Daily operation

– Maintain high level of accuracy and compliance of corporate policies and local regulations
– Answer and consult employees\’ queries in professional manner
– Continuously improve current operation

  1. Ad hoc items

– Facilitate compensation benchmarking exercise in collaboration with regional C&B team
– Drive annual salary review and bonus planning process
– Collaborate with regional C&B team for international assignment
– Review and implement policies to ensure competitiveness and/or to align with global strategy
– Create manpower cost budget for entire market, track consumptions and consult business
– Promote participation of global compensation program (Share Match Plan)

Performance

  1. Annual performance review (PDR)

– Drive annual performance review process

  1. Engagement

– Act as ambassador and promote improvement activities of business based on engagement score

  1. Management

– Take appropriate action to improve and maintain performance of employees, team and company

Others

  1. HR Information System

– Maintain high level of data accuracy for both global and local HR systems

  1. Compliance

– Behave as compliance champion

  1. Projects

– Participate projects and proactively contribute for the role required

Relevant work experience
Minimum of 5 years in a generalist HR role with hands-on experience of day-to-day operational HR in an MNC company of which at least 3 should have been in a specialist role (recruitment, Employee relations, C&B, etc.)

Skills
– Critical reasoning and analytical skills
– Collaborates well and able to work with diverse teams
– Independent and able to operate with minimal supervision
– High level of professional integrity and ethics
– Diverse experienced in different areas of HR
– Experienced in Learning and Development / Talent Management is a plus
– Excellent spoken and written English and Japanese
– Familiarity with SAP-HR is a plus
– Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint
