Job Description

Primary Function/Responsibility

  • General management of 2 Thailand offices (Bangkok & Chiang Mai) and all related affairs
  • Manage, lead, mentor, motivate and empower your teams
  • Function as main representative of Easia Travel Thailand
  • Ensure all staff perform their tasks according to Easia standards and expectations
  • Check areas of improvement of each department and increase efficiency among all staff
  • Coordinate and supervise all marketing related tasks
  • Identify and Coordinate training sessions with all departments
  • Improve, create and implement Standard Operating Procedures for all departments
  • Cost control to maintain and improve profit margins
  • Be an advocate of positive influence for the entire company (e.g. share best practices, etc.)

Job Descriptions General Management

  • Ensure service quality is at best possible level
  • Allocate duties and responsibilities, monitor and follow up work performance.
  • Make sure communication between departments & Offices in Thailand and with different teams in Hanoi is efficient, clear and friendly and promote knowledge sharing
  • Prepare, lead and follow up weekly management meeting
  • Make sure reports from each department are efficient, appropriate
  • Create a strategy (SWOT, vision, action plan) for Easia Thailand and follow up

HR Management (in coordination with office manager)

  • Decide on special training and inspection activities for the team
  • Approve holidays and absent days according to companies policy and ensure a continued smooth working process even if staff are off
  • Propose new recruitment if needed (together with department manager and Office manager)
  • Plan and propose special motivation activities for the team; think of special non-office activities to enhance team spirit
  • Propose revised salary or other rewards
  • Review and adjust job descriptions in cooperation with office manager
  • Motivate your team

Product

  • Oversee product team and implement knowledge sharing process within the company
  • Make sure Easia is constantly developing new products for the following segments: FIT, GIT, adventure, luxury, incentive, sustainable tourism
  • Participate on training (via webinar or 2 times/year in Hanoi to sales team Hanoi) or via webinar to Sales Development managers team in Europe and North America
  • Generate Webinar training to clients (TO/TA) or personalized training to important existing clients/prospects

Operation and Quality Control

  • Control, check and improve client and supplier feedback
  • Check VIP files, famtrip if necessary
  • Be available in emergency situations
  • Support operation team and empower them to take own decisions

Sales

  • Be an advisor and mentor to the sales team in Hanoi and empower them to grow business
  • Make a positive impact on sales offices worldwide – support sales development managers with training, etc. if needed to develop more business
  • Coordinate response and proposal for new accounts with sales team leader of each market base in Hanoi and product manager
  • Advise sales team in Hanoi on B2B annual tariff production
  • Maximize potential of existing clients and increasing margins
  • Participate once per year for important tourism trade show/sales trip on important Easia markets to promote Lao destination

Accounting

  • Check payroll, approve expenses and control cash flow (together with Accounting Team in Hanoi)
  • Pay and approve expat salaries
  • Check and Follow up supplements paid by clients on spot

Contracting

  • Support to check new suppliers and make sure Easia’s pricing is competitive
  • Advise on priority lists and supplier sales strategy
  • Help negotiate kickback agreements with suppliers (airlines, hotels, etc.)
  • Negotiate with suppliers to get special deals (FOC, etc.)

Marketing

  • Support marketing team in Hanoi and in Thailand in daily tasks and ensure marketing actions are efficient

Competition

  • Keep an open eye on the performance of Easia’s major competitors and suggest appropriate actions

Represent Easia

    • Meet and accompany (if necessary) with famtrips/major account when on inspection, private holidays
    • Entertain them for a dinner or similar together with Production manager/Operation Manager or Office manger

Job Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Management and organizational skills
  • Deep knowledge of Thailand
  • At least 3 years of experience as Director of Sales/Operation/Contracting…
  • High level of personal presentation
  • Flexible, be willing and available to travel often
  • Pleasant personality, positive attitude, open-minded
  • Preferable if candidate has good skills in a second language (French, German, Italian, Spanish)
