Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), the country's largest hospitality firm, has announced the opening of Avantika by the Ganges – IHCL SeleQtions in Varanasi. This new establishment, located on the banks of Kashi, offers 43 rooms and suites designed to harmonise traditional elements with modern comforts. The hotel is strategically positioned near the revered Kashi Vishwanath and Kaal Bhairav temples, providing guests with panoramic views of the Ganges.
Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President of New Businesses & Hotel Openings at IHCL, highlighted the significance of Varanasi as a spiritual destination. "Varanasi, one of the world’s oldest living cities, continues to draw seekers from across the globe for its spiritual significance," she stated. The hotel aims to offer a sanctuary that merges timeless traditions with contemporary amenities.
Avantika by the Ganges features an all-vegetarian restaurant, Dhanushkoti, which serves dishes inspired by traditional Varanasi kitchens using locally sourced ingredients. Additional facilities include a fitness centre, spa, and salon, enhancing the holistic experience for guests.
