Inverness to Dublin flights resume with Aer Lingus

Direct flights between Inverness and Dublin are set to resume on 21 May 2026, operated by Aer Lingus Regional through Emerald Airlines. The service will run twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, offering convenient travel options for both business and leisure passengers. This new route marks the first collaboration between Inverness Airport and Aer Lingus, aiming to strengthen regional connectivity.

The flights are strategically timed to provide seamless onward connections via Dublin to Aer Lingus's transatlantic services, including destinations such as New York (JFK) and Boston. Dan Mason, Inverness Airport Manager, expressed enthusiasm about the route's return, stating, “It is exciting to see the return of direct flights between Inverness and Dublin, restoring a route that has been missed by passengers across the Highlands and Islands.”

Dublin, known for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant hospitality scene, will now be more accessible to travellers from the Highlands. Ian Lough, Head of Commercial at Emerald Airlines, commented, “We are delighted to be commencing this new connection to Dublin and have no doubt it will be a popular one.”

The introduction of this service is a significant step in enhancing passenger choice and regional connectivity. Flights are available for booking on the Aer Lingus website. The schedule includes departures from Dublin to Inverness at 13:20 and returns from Inverness to Dublin at 15:30 on both operational days.
