WorldTicket by GO7 unveils new airline distribution model

WorldTicket by GO7 has announced a comprehensive model for airline distribution, aiming to enhance reach, flexibility, and revenue across booking channels. This innovative approach combines Global Distribution Systems (GDS), New Distribution Capability (NDC), and direct Online Travel Agency (OTA) partnerships, with a virtual interlining solution set to launch soon.

The model merges traditional and modern systems into a unified, channel-agnostic ecosystem, enabling airlines to efficiently connect with customers. Peer Winter, Chief Distribution Officer at GO7, stated, “For too long, the industry has been arguing GDS vs NDC. But there’s no silver-bullet channel in airline distribution. Our holistic approach allows partners to be present wherever their customers are booking, whilst reducing complexity and maximising incremental revenue.”

Key features of GO7’s model include:

- **Channel agnosticism:** Ensures presence across all channels, capturing demand wherever passengers search.
- **Aggregation and integration:** Acts as a central hub connecting full-service and low-cost carriers, enabling partnerships and ancillary revenue opportunities.
- **Global reach and scalability:** Connects with over 100,000 IATA agencies in 190 markets, supporting scalable settlement with OTAs and rail partners.
- **Cost neutrality:** Optimises revenue quality whilst remaining cost-neutral for carriers.

GO7 has transitioned from stackable tools to interoperable building blocks, allowing airlines to run both indirect and direct channels. The upcoming virtual interlining solution, supported by ThruBag technology, complements this strategy.

Additionally, GO7’s W2 Aggregation Services enable global distribution of codeshare and interline content, maintaining control over ticketing and passenger data. The Rail & Fly solution, already live with Deutsche Bahn, integrates high-speed rail into flight itineraries, expanding network reach beyond airports
