The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Beijing Office, in collaboration with Alipay+, has launched a new AI-driven campaign aimed at enhancing the travel experience for Chinese tourists visiting Thailand. The initiative, which began in the first quarter of 2026, uses data analytics to create personalised travel experiences based on four themed rankings: “Thai Haokan” (Beautiful Sights), “Thai Haochi” (Delicious Eats), “Thai Haowan” (Exciting Activities), and “Thai Haozhu” (Cozy Stays).
The campaign, initially targeting Chinese travellers through Alipay, aims to identify trending tourist hotspots and offer a seamless digital experience from content browsing to trip booking. Travellers can make one-stop reservations for flights, hotels, attraction tickets, and ride-hailing directly within their familiar apps. Alipay+ Voyager, an in-app AI travel agent, plays a crucial role in providing these personalised experiences.
Yolrawee Sittichai, Director of the TAT Beijing Office, highlighted the collaboration's significance in advancing Thailand's tourism development through digital technology. The initiative also prioritises the safety of Chinese tourists by integrating safety guidelines and emergency contact systems into the AI assistant service.
Scarlett Xing, General Manager of Alipay+ Travel Solutions, noted that the partnership with TAT showcases Thailand as a leader in smart tourism. The campaign's success in Q1 2026 reflects the effectiveness of integrated digital travel ecosystems in driving tourism growth.
Looking forward, TAT and Alipay+ plan to introduce a Thailand destination benefits card and co-create high-quality travel content, further enhancing the travel experience for global visitors
