Minimalist Hotels is set to make its debut in Udaipur with the launch of a boutique heritage property overlooking Lake Pichola by the end of May 2026. The new property, located on Bhimparmeshwar Marg, is housed within the historic Bawlas ki Haveli, a structure dating back to 1820. This launch marks a significant milestone for the brand, known for its design-led hospitality experiences.

The haveli, originally gifted to a Rajput noble of the royal court of Mewar, has been reimagined through Minimalist Hotels' contemporary design philosophy. The 18-room property, named Minimalist - Lake Pichola Edit, offers a blend of traditional Rajasthani architecture and modern comfort. It features terracotta walls, intricate jharokhas, and heritage-inspired detailing, maintaining the timeless charm of old Udaipur.

Guests can choose from various room categories, including the Maharaja Suite and Maharani Suite, each designed to balance comfort and aesthetic sensibilities. The property also introduces Cabami, a rooftop restaurant and bar offering panoramic views of Lake Pichola and the city skyline. Cabami aims to provide a vibrant dining experience, transitioning from relaxed daytime settings to indulgent evenings.

Founder Gautam Munjal expressed the brand's vision: “With this property, we wanted to create more than just a stay; we wanted to build an experience that feels deeply connected to the soul of the city whilst reflecting the simplicity and thoughtful design philosophy of Minimalist Hotels.”

As Minimalist Hotels expands its footprint across India, this launch caters to modern travellers seeking culturally immersive and design-led stays
