PHAL, a Singapore-based advisory firm, has initiated its first mandate with a leading global hotel group, marking a significant step in hospitality management. This collaboration introduces PHAL as the first Agentic AI Embedded Operator Advisory firm to engage with a top 10 global hotel group, focusing on finance transformation within the Asia Pacific region.
PHAL's innovative approach combines an embedded operator model with a hospitality-specific Agentic AI methodology. Saurabh Prakash, the CEO and founder of PHAL, who has extensive experience with major hotel chains such as Marriott International and Radisson Hotel Group, emphasised the need for effective decision-making rather than data collection. "Hotels do not have a data problem. They have a decision problem," Prakash stated, highlighting PHAL's mission to work collaboratively with clients to implement solutions.
The PHAL OS, an Agentic AI operating system, integrates with existing hospitality technology, providing leadership with streamlined decision-making tools. It features four agents—Performance, Profit, Preference, and People—aligned with the Balanced Scorecard framework. The Profit agent is central to the initial finance transformation project, with plans to extend PHAL OS to individual properties on a subscription basis.
Prakash expressed his vision for PHAL OS, stating, "PHAL OS is what I wish had existed when I was on the other side of the table." The system aims to enhance, not replace, existing hospitality technologies, offering the speed of decision-making required in the coming decade.
As PHAL continues discussions with major hotel groups and the Singapore Tourism Board, the firm is poised to redefine the hospitality industry's approach to AI and decision-making
