TDM AWARDS - NOMINATE NOW!

RMS, a global leader in hospitality technology, has joined forces with SUNY Niagara's Hospitality Management Programme to offer students practical experience with cutting-edge property management technology. This partnership aims to prepare students for the fast-evolving hospitality industry by integrating RMS's platform into the curriculum at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, a division of SUNY Niagara.

Students will utilise the RMS platform throughout their Hospitality Management degree, gaining hands-on experience in critical hotel operations such as reservations, front desk management, housekeeping, sales, revenue management, and reporting. This initiative is part of SUNY Niagara's revamped programme designed to provide students with real-world skills through dedicated Hotel Operations courses.

Adam Seskis, CEO at RMS, emphasised the importance of early exposure to technology in hospitality education: "Hospitality is advancing quickly, and the next generation of talent needs to understand the technology at the centre of modern operations. A property management system is the operational heart of any hospitality business, so early exposure to these systems is crucial."

Daniel DiPirro, Hospitality Management Professor at SUNY Niagara, highlighted the programme's focus on experiential learning, supported by the Statler Foundation Grant: "We are excited to partner with RMS to provide our students with industry-leading hospitality technology. Our programme prioritises experiential learning, complementing our student-run restaurant, Savor, and bake shop, La Patisserie."

This collaboration not only enhances the students' learning experience but also broadens their career pathways by exposing them to various hospitality sectors, including outdoor hospitality management. With RMS now embedded into the curriculum, SUNY Niagara is committed to producing graduates equipped with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the modern hospitality landscape
