citizenM has unveiled its third hotel in Washington, D.C., located in the historic Georgetown district. Opening this month, the 230-room property introduces citizenM's distinctive design-forward approach to the capital's oldest neighbourhood. The hotel, a short walk from Georgetown's waterfront, offers a vibrant destination for both travellers and locals to eat, sleep, work, and play.
The new hotel is part of Marriott International's Bonvoy programme, allowing guests to earn and redeem points during their stay. Designed by Concrete Amsterdam, the hotel features citizenM's signature amenities, including a 24/7 canteenM, a gym, and a living room space ideal for business travellers. Guests can also enjoy a newly commissioned mural by local artist J.D. Deardourff.
Peggy Roe, Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer at Marriott International, highlighted the brand's unique approach: "citizenM has always been a brand that sees travel differently. It understands that today's travellers are looking for more than a place to stay – they want to feel connected to the energy, culture, and character of the places they visit."
The hotel aims to provide a comfortable retreat amidst Georgetown's lively shopping streets and cafés. With its prime location and locally inspired art, citizenM Washington, D.C. Georgetown is set to become a popular spot for residents and visitors. The property joins citizenM's growing portfolio, which includes locations in New York, Seattle, and Los Angeles
