Etihad Airways is embarking on its largest summer season yet, with a 10% increase in capacity compared to last year. The airline is operating over 300 flights daily, supported by an expanded fleet of 23 additional aircraft. This growth comes as demand for travel to, from, and through Abu Dhabi surges, with flights operating at nearly 90% load factors.

In a rapid expansion, Etihad launched four new routes between 11 and 14 June, connecting Abu Dhabi with Kraków, Palma de Mallorca, Damascus, and Zanzibar. Additionally, five popular seasonal destinations are returning: Mykonos and Malaga from 15 June, Santorini from 16 June, Nice from 19 June, and Al Alamein from 16 July.

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, stated, "Today, Etihad is flying more guests to more destinations than ever before. We are operating more than 300 flights a day, carrying near-record loads and connecting Abu Dhabi with more destinations than ever before."

To enhance the travel experience, Etihad, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, is offering complimentary medical travel insurance for international visitors flying on Etihad-operated flights. This initiative, available from July to December 2026, provides up to 15 days of medical cover in the UAE.

The newly launched routes highlight Etihad's expanding network, offering travellers access to cultural and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and the Indian Ocean. This expansion aligns with Etihad's strategy to strengthen Abu Dhabi's position as a global gateway
