Hong Kong Airlines has introduced a comprehensive upgrade to its Panda Friends livery aeroplane, a collaboration with Ocean Park, enhancing the passenger experience with themed cabin interiors and limited-edition collectibles. The aeroplane made its maiden flight to Chengdu, the hometown of the giant panda, on 25 June 2026, serving as a tourism ambassador for Hong Kong.

The fuselage features Ocean Park's beloved characters, including An An, Ke Ke, Ying Ying, and Le Le, alongside Hong Kong-born panda twins Jia Jia and De De. These pandas, depicted with passports and cameras, symbolise their role as tourism ambassadors.

A preview event for the themed flight was attended by notable figures such as Rosanna Law, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Vivian Cheung, CEO of the Airport Authority Hong Kong. Bruce Wang, Chairman of Hong Kong Airlines, and Paulo Pong, Chairman of Ocean Park Corporation, were also present.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Hong Kong Airlines continues to expand its fleet and network whilst renewing its brand identity.
