TDM AWARDS - NOMINATE NOW!

CLYMB Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, in partnership with Active Abu Dhabi, has introduced Junior Climbers, a free five-day programme aimed at encouraging young people aged 12 to 16 to embrace active lifestyles through climbing. Set to run from 27 July to 21 August 2026, the initiative will host 60 participants in its inaugural edition, offering a structured curriculum that builds confidence, resilience, and essential climbing skills.

The programme, delivered by certified instructors, will take place over four weekly sessions, with each accommodating 12 to 15 participants. It aims to make climbing accessible to the community, fostering a healthier lifestyle among the youth. Participants will learn climbing fundamentals, safety techniques, and develop movement and problem-solving skills. The experience will culminate in a final climbing challenge, celebrating the progress and achievements of each participant.

Junior Climbers is part of a series of initiatives by Active Abu Dhabi to promote healthy lifestyle habits among less physically active young people. By offering the programme free of charge, the organisers hope to remove barriers to participation and inspire more young people to experience the benefits of climbing.

Registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis, with sessions scheduled as follows: 27–31 July, 3–7 August, and 10–14 August for boys, and 17–21 August for girls. For more information and registration, visit the Active Abu Dhabi website
