Carnival Cruise Line has announced its latest ship, Carnival Destiny, set to debut in summer 2029 as the first vessel in its new Ace Class.

The announcement was made during a steel-cutting ceremony at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. This marks a significant milestone in Carnival's partnership with Fincantieri, a collaboration that spans over 30 years.

Carnival Destiny is designed to redefine the cruising experience with its focus on ocean views and guest engagement. The ship will feature an unprecedented number of ocean-view balcony cabins, a reimagined lanai deck, and over 45 acres of glass, including expansive multi-storey glass walls. These features aim to provide constant ocean views and enhance the connection between guests and the sea.

Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, stated, "Carnival Destiny builds on a legacy that changed cruising once before, reimagining what guests can experience at sea. With this ship, we're elevating the guest experience again, creating a ship that feels more expansive whilst helping guests feel more connected and ultimately have more fun."

The ship will also introduce over 70% new concepts in venues and attractions, including dining, bars, lounges, entertainment, and outdoor spaces. Carnival Destiny will sail to destinations in the Paradise Collection, which includes exclusive locations in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Mexico.

Further details about Carnival Destiny's features will be released later this year. Two additional Ace Class ships are planned for 2031 and 2033, continuing Carnival's expansion and innovation in the cruise industry
