Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) recently hosted Tech Fest 2026 at Taj Cidade de Goa, highlighting the future of smart and sustainable hospitality. The event brought together industry leaders and technology partners to explore how intelligent infrastructure is transforming hotel operations.

The festival showcased cutting-edge solutions aimed at enhancing efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Key innovations included smart energy management systems, predictive maintenance technologies, and IoT-enabled monitoring, all designed to optimise resource consumption and improve asset management. Notably, energy-efficient chillers and advanced indoor air quality systems were featured, maintaining PM2.5 levels below 10 for healthier environments.

Robotic cleaning systems were also demonstrated, enhancing productivity and allowing staff to focus on personalised guest experiences. Beyond guest services, innovations in core operations included advanced safety systems for LPG management, digital metering, and renewable energy solutions. These technologies aim to transform sustainability from a compliance requirement into a strategic business advantage.

The exhibition also presented next-generation water bottling plants, energy-generating fitness equipment, and circular economy solutions like in-house sludge treatment and biogas generation. These initiatives aim to reduce operating costs and environmental impact.

Ranjit Phillipose, Senior Vice President – Operations at IHCL Goa, remarked, "Every sensor installed, every kilowatt saved, every litre of water conserved, and every kilogram of waste recycled is not just a technological achievement but also a commitment to future generations."

Tech Fest 2026 underscored IHCL Goa's commitment to integrating technology and sustainability, setting new benchmarks for responsible luxury in the hospitality industry
