Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India's largest hospitality firm, has announced the signing of a new Ginger hotel in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra. This development involves converting a standalone hotel into a 50-key property, marking a significant expansion in the region. The move aligns with IHCL's strategy to increase its footprint in high-potential destinations.

Sindhudurg, located on Maharashtra's scenic Konkan coast, is gaining popularity as a leisure destination due to improved connectivity and rising visitor numbers. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of Real Estate & Development at IHCL, highlighted the area's accessibility from Mumbai, Pune, and Goa as a key factor in its tourism growth. "This signing reflects our strategy of expanding the brand’s presence in high-potential destinations," she stated.

The new Ginger Sindhudurg will offer an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, a gym, and facilities for corporate and social events. Priyanka Sawant, Director of Yash Inn And Resorts Private Limited, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with IHCL, aiming to boost Sindhudurg's tourism appeal.

With this addition, IHCL will operate 66 hotels in Maharashtra, including 34 under development. Sindhudurg is renowned for its heritage sites like Sindhudurg Fort and Tarkarli beaches, making it a promising location for tourism. This expansion underscores IHCL's commitment to enhancing its hospitality offerings in India's coastal regions
