Radisson Hotel Group, in collaboration with Accenture, has unveiled an innovative AI-powered hotel discovery app within ChatGPT, revolutionising how travellers plan their trips. The app, named RadissonHotels, allows users to explore over 1,000 Radisson properties across more than 100 countries through natural conversation, offering live rates and direct booking paths.
The app marks a significant shift towards "agentic commerce," moving away from traditional booking channels to AI-led experiences. As travellers increasingly rely on AI for trip planning, Radisson aims to be visible and actionable at the moment of intent. According to Accenture's Consumer Pulse Research, 87% of travellers are open to using AI-powered travel agents, with 71% expecting AI to influence their hotel or airline spending in the next year.
Gianni Di Fede, Radisson's chief commercial officer, stated, "AI is radically transforming how people search for and book hotel stays, and we are committed to being at the forefront of this shift." The app, developed using Accenture's AI Merchant Centre, connects directly to Radisson's systems, providing real-time hotel information and facilitating a seamless transition from idea to booking.
The collaboration with Accenture is part of Radisson's broader digital transformation strategy, aiming to enhance personalisation and direct booking capabilities. Future plans include expanding the app's features to offer deeper personalisation, loyalty recognition, and AI concierge services. As travel planning becomes more competitive, Radisson's focus is on providing accessible and accurate hotel content to meet evolving consumer needs
