Available for bookings from 22 October 2026, this new category enhances the resort's overwater experience by combining spacious interiors with a private pool suspended above the lagoon.

The Overwater Villa with Pool spans 165 square metres and features a 23 square metre private pool, offering guests an intimate retreat with uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean. This new category, comprising villas numbered 211 to 245, is designed for those seeking privacy and tranquillity in an overwater setting. Introductory rates start at $1,650 (US$1,650) per night during the low season, rising to $4,500 (US$4,500) during the festive season.

In conjunction with this launch, Vakkaru Maldives will rename its existing Overwater Pool Villa category to Overwater Deluxe Pool Villa, with no changes to features or pricing. The resort, recognised with a MICHELIN Key in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide Hotel Selection, continues to garner accolades, including being ranked ninth among the Best Resorts in Asia by Travel + Leisure in 2026.
