Malaysia Airlines has unveiled the "Ride Together, Fly Together" challenge, offering cycling enthusiasts a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Melbourne. Participants will ride alongside Dato’ Azizulhasni Awang, the Malaysian track cycling champion, who recently clinched a gold medal at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The challenge, open until 28 August 2026, requires participants to complete a 6.5-kilometre ride on Strava, a global fitness platform. Five winners will be selected to join an exclusive cycling programme in Melbourne, featuring behind-the-scenes access to elite track cycling at the Joe Ciavola Velodrome. The experience includes a training observation session, a velodrome tour, and a 60.7-kilometre coastal ride with Awang.
Bryan Foong, CEO of Airline Business at Malaysia Aviation Group, stated, “MHsports was created to make travel more accessible and convenient for athletes, sporting teams, and active communities. Through this initiative, we hope to inspire more people to stay active whilst demonstrating how Malaysia Airlines can support their sporting journeys beyond the destination.”
Participants can join the challenge by recording their cycling activity on Strava and submitting their details on the MHsports challenge campaign page. Successful participants will receive promotional codes for discounts on future Malaysia Airlines flights.
In addition to the cycling experience, Malaysia Airlines is offering promotional fares from London Heathrow to Australia, available for booking until 20 August 2026. The airline’s MHsports offering provides flexible travel options, additional baggage allowance, and other benefits tailored for sporting communities
