Agoda, a digital travel platform, and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) have renewed their strategic partnership with a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance Singapore's tourism sector through technology and innovation. The agreement, signed by Agoda CEO Omri Morgenshtern and STB Chief Executive Melissa Ow, focuses on promoting Singapore as a destination and advancing industry development through data and AI-powered travel innovations.
The partnership, first established in 2022 and renewed in 2024, now expands into four key areas: joint marketing, data strategy and insights, thought leadership and innovation, and tech collaboration. This includes exploring AI to offer personalised travel recommendations for Singapore. The collaboration aims to support Singapore's tourism stakeholders with capability-building initiatives in data science, AI upskilling, and experience development.
Earlier this year, Agoda and STB launched a marketing campaign to boost demand for Singapore amidst global disruptions, which saw strong participation from local hotel partners and delivered promising results. Melissa Ow stated, "The renewed collaboration presents the opportunity to tap on Agoda's platform reach, traveller insights, and technology capabilities to strengthen Singapore's destination appeal in the digital space."
Omri Morgenshtern added, "We're excited to bring our AI and analytics capabilities to this partnership, enabling STB to reach travellers more precisely whilst supporting the innovation priorities that benefit the entire Singapore tourism ecosystem."
This expanded partnership aims to offer travellers more engaging experiences in Singapore whilst supporting the long-term growth of the tourism industry
