Norse Atlantic Airways has entered into a significant ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) agreement with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to supply two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. This partnership aims to boost PIA's long-haul capacity between the UK and Pakistan, addressing the rising demand for direct flights. Operations are set to begin in November 2026, enhancing travel options for the large Pakistani community in the UK.

The collaboration allows PIA to expand its international network whilst Norse Atlantic can redeploy its fleet efficiently. Eivind Roald, CEO of Norse Atlantic, stated, “We are pleased to support PIA’s long-haul capacity expansion and to strengthen connectivity between the UK and Pakistan.” This agreement aligns with Norse’s “Airline on Demand” strategy, which focuses on flexible fleet deployment to meet global travel needs.

Amir Hayat, CEO of PIA, highlighted the importance of the UK market for PIA, noting that the agreement will provide greater choice and connectivity for passengers. “This is the first set of Dreamliners that is being adopted by the Pakistani market,” Hayat added, expressing optimism about the premium services expected from these aircraft.

Norse Atlantic's strategy of engaging in high-impact ACMI arrangements with major carriers like PIA helps shield the company from market volatility. The airline is also exploring further ACMI agreements with other international airlines, indicating potential future expansions
