CoolFly, a developer of personal electric aircraft, has launched Urban, the world's first standing-position personal aircraft, during its global product launch event in Hangzhou, China, on 13 August. The event also showcased the Dream series of seated personal aircraft, the NA80 flight control system, and new strategic partnerships.

Urban, the centrepiece of the launch, is designed to be compact and intuitive, featuring an enclosed-propeller propulsion system and CoolFly's self-developed dual-redundant flight control architecture. This innovation reflects CoolFly's vision of making personal aircraft more accessible and versatile.

The Dream series expands CoolFly's portfolio with the Dream ST and Dream Pro models. Dream ST is tailored to ultralight aircraft regulations in China and the US, whilst Dream Pro offers enhanced payload capacity and flight endurance. Both models include advanced features like obstacle-detection radar and a whole-aircraft parachute system.

CoolFly's NA80 flight control system, introduced at the event, is built on a dual-redundant architecture, integrating three inertial measurement units per control unit. This system provides a unified platform across CoolFly's aircraft line-up, showcasing the company's comprehensive approach to aircraft development.

In addition to product launches, CoolFly announced a partnership with Zhejiang Institute of Security Technology to foster industry-education collaboration. The company also secured insurance agreements with PICC Property and Casualty and China Pacific Property Insurance, ensuring comprehensive coverage for its aircraft.
