Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has announced the introduction of thrice-weekly flights to Guiyang, China, starting 26 October 2026. This new route, operated by the Airbus 320neo, enhances Scoot's presence in China and offers travellers an enticing option for the upcoming holiday season.
Guiyang, located in Guizhou province, is celebrated for its diverse ethnic cultures and stunning landscapes. Travellers can explore attractions like Qingyan Ancient Town and Huangguoshu Waterfall. Economy Class fares to Guiyang begin at $160 (5,800 THB), with bookings available via Scoot's website and app.
The addition of Guiyang brings Scoot's operations in mainland China to 81 weekly flights across 16 cities. Overall, Scoot's network will expand to 86 destinations in 18 countries and territories, including the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Europe.
In response to anticipated year-end travel demand, Scoot is also increasing flight frequencies to several destinations. From October 2026, flights to Hat Yai will rise to 14 times weekly, Phuket to 21 times, and Okinawa to five times weekly. Additional increases are planned for Clark, Kota Kinabalu, and Tiruchirappalli later in the year.
Leslie Thng, CEO of Scoot, stated, “We are delighted to add Guiyang to our network, strengthening our presence in China and connecting Singapore and the wider Scoot network to one of southwest China’s most scenic and culturally rich cities.”
These developments are part of Scoot's Northern Winter 2026/2027 schedule, running from 25 October 2026 to 27 March 2027. Flight schedules remain subject to regulatory approvals.
