Star Alliance and Incheon International Airport Corporation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a Star Alliance lounge at Terminal 1 of Incheon International Airport. This move comes ahead of Asiana Airlines' departure from Star Alliance on 16 December 2026, as it integrates with Korean Air.
The existing Asiana Airlines Business Lounge West in Terminal 1 will transition to a Star Alliance lounge, expected to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2026. This ensures that eligible passengers of Star Alliance member airlines will continue to enjoy premium lounge services at Incheon International Airport.
Incheon Airport, ranked as the world's top airport for international passenger traffic in the first half of 2026, remains a crucial hub for Star Alliance. The new lounge will cater to passengers travelling with 14 Star Alliance member airlines, connecting them to 29 destinations globally. This will be the seventh Star Alliance lounge worldwide, joining others in Paris, Los Angeles, and Guangzhou.
