Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India's largest hospitality company, has announced the signing of a new SeleQtions hotel in Athirapilly, Kerala. This development, in partnership with the Kshema Group, marks a significant expansion in the region, known for its tourism appeal and proximity to the iconic Athirapilly Falls.

The new hotel will be developed in two phases, starting with 37 operational keys and expanding to a total of 100 keys. Guests will enjoy an all-day dining restaurant, a wine and beer lounge, and a rooftop dining experience. The hotel will also feature spacious banquet venues, meeting rooms, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and a spa with multiple treatment rooms.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of Real Estate & Development at IHCL, highlighted Kerala's importance as a leisure market, citing its diverse tourism offerings and strong connectivity. Located on the banks of the Chalakudy River, near Cochin International Airport, the hotel is strategically positioned to attract tourists visiting Kochi and Munnar. With this addition, IHCL will have 25 hotels in Kerala, further solidifying its presence in the region.
