Flydubai has inaugurated daily non-stop flights between Dubai International (DXB) and Pokhara International Airport (PHH), marking the first direct air link between Dubai and Western Nepal. This new route, launched on 23 September, positions Pokhara as flydubai’s second destination in Nepal, alongside Kathmandu, and enhances access to the Annapurna Mountain range.

The introduction of this service increases flydubai’s weekly flights to Nepal to 35, further boosting passenger and cargo capacity. The airline has transported over 4.5 million passengers to and from Kathmandu since 2009, with a significant portion connecting through Dubai’s aviation hub. This expansion into Pokhara underscores flydubai’s commitment to improving connectivity to underserved markets.

Sudhir Sreedharan, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at flydubai, stated, “Nepal has long been an integral part of flydubai’s network. With the launch of our daily flights to Pokhara, we are further strengthening that commitment by offering travellers a seamless, non-stop connection to the country’s tourism capital.”

The new service operates under flydubai’s codeshare partnership with Emirates, providing passengers with access to over 140 destinations across Asia, Europe, and the Americas via Dubai. Popular connections include Bucharest, Dammam, and Riyadh, whilst destinations like London and New York remain top feeder markets.

Flights to Pokhara depart daily from Terminal 3, DXB, with return Business Class fares starting from $1,470 (AED 5,400) and Economy Class fares from $530 (AED 1,950). This development not only enhances travel options but also positions Pokhara as a significant hub in Nepal’s aviation sector.
