Accor, a global hospitality leader, and Sun Group, a prominent Vietnamese real estate and tourism developer, have announced a strategic partnership to expand their hospitality portfolio in Vietnam.

The agreement, signed recently, will see the development of more than 5,300 keys over the next five years in key destinations such as Phu Quoc and Danang.

The collaboration will introduce several Accor brands to Vietnam for the first time, including Sofitel Serviced Residences, Swissôtel Living, and TRIBE, alongside Ennismore's lifestyle brand SO/. Established brands like MGallery, Grand Mercure, and ibis Styles will also see an increased presence.

Duncan O'Rourke, CEO of Accor's Premium, Midscale & Economy Division for the Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific, highlighted Vietnam's rapid growth as a key driver for the region. "Our focus is on strategic expansion, bringing the right brands to the right locations to offer travellers deeper, more authentic connections with Vietnam's culture and natural beauty," he stated.

Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of Sun Group, remarked on the significance of the partnership, saying, "By bringing Accor's diverse hospitality ecosystems and new experiences to Vietnam, we are not only elevating hospitality standards but also enhancing the attractiveness and competitiveness of our destinations."

The first phase of the portfolio includes six properties, such as the 250-key Bana Hills Hotel Danang and the 588-key ibis Styles Hon Thom Phu Quoc. This expansion comes as Vietnam strengthens its position as a leading tourism market in Asia, driven by strong domestic travel demand and growing international visitation. With 45 hotels, Vietnam is Accor's third-largest market in Asia, excluding India and Greater China
