Accor appoints Laurent Choain to lead people & culture

Laurent Choain has been appointed as Accor's Global Chief People & Culture Officer, effective 1 April 2026. He will also join the Group Management Board and the Premium, Midscale & Economy Executive Committee. Sébastien Bazin, Accor's Group Chairman and CEO, expressed confidence in Choain's ability to nurture talent and strengthen corporate culture, aligning with Accor's vision for excellence and innovation.

Choain brings over 30 years of international HR leadership experience, having held senior roles at Forvis Mazars, Groupe Caisse d'Epargne (now BPCE), and Kempinski Hotels & Resorts. His expertise in human capital development and organisational culture is expected to be invaluable to Accor. Choain is also noted for his work in corporate universities and management education initiatives.

In addition to his corporate roles, Choain actively participates in the management, HR, and cultural community through governance and advisory positions, including board memberships at EFMD, Bologna Business School, and the Peter Drucker Society of Europe. He holds a PhD in Management Sciences from Université Paris Panthéon Assas and Master's degrees from Paris Panthéon Sorbonne and Neoma Business School.

In his new role, Choain will focus on evolving Accor's unique culture, attracting top-tier professionals, and fostering growth and development opportunities for employees worldwide.
