Aero K Airlines launches direct Korea-Hualien flights

South Korea's Aero K Airlines has introduced a new direct flight route from Incheon to Hualien, Taiwan, operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. This initiative aims to provide travellers with a seamless journey to Eastern Taiwan, renowned for its stunning Pacific coastline and mountainous landscapes.

The Hualien County Government has unveiled two incentive programmes to encourage travel agencies to create comprehensive travel packages. These programmes, the Flight & Hotel Package Incentive and the Inbound Group Tour Incentive, are available until 30 November 2026. Korean travel agencies can collaborate with registered Taiwanese partners to apply for these incentives. For group tours, agencies will receive NTD 2,000 (approximately KRW 90,000) per traveller for a two-night stay, and up to NTD 4,000 (approximately KRW 180,000) for a four-night stay.

Earlier this year, Korean influencer Virbro visited Hualien via a direct flight, showcasing the region's attractions such as Qixingtan Beach, Dongdaemun Night Market, and Liyu Lake. His journey highlights the ease of accessing Hualien's diverse offerings, from marathons and flower festivals to whale watching and water sports.

Despite ongoing restoration at Taroko National Park, several areas have reopened, allowing visitors to experience its iconic landscapes. The new direct flights eliminate lengthy transfers from Taipei, making Hualien's natural beauty more accessible than ever. For more details, visit the official Explore Hualien website
