AirCairo has announced the activation of its services on the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) in India, effective immediately. This development allows accredited IATA travel agents across India to issue AirCairo tickets seamlessly through the BSP platform, simplifying booking, ticketing, reporting, and settlement processes.
The activation of the BSP is a significant step in AirCairo's commercial growth strategy, enhancing its distribution capabilities in India. In addition to the BSP, AirCairo is accessible through Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Amadeus, and on GLID, Aeroprime Group's modern airline retailing platform. This provides multiple efficient booking channels for travel partners, further strengthening the airline's presence in the Indian market.
Hussein Sherif, Chairman and CEO of AirCairo, stated, "The activation of AirCairo on IATA BSP India represents a significant milestone in our commercial expansion strategy and reinforces our long-term commitment to the Indian market." He emphasised the importance of this development in enhancing connectivity and simplifying the booking process for travel partners.
Abhishek Goyal, CEO and Executive Director of Aeroprime Group, added, "The activation of AirCairo on IATA BSP India represents a major step forward in enhancing the airline’s distribution landscape in the country."
With these enhanced distribution capabilities, AirCairo is well-positioned to support the increasing demand for travel between India and Egypt, offering passengers convenient access to a broad network of destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia
