Amadeus, a prominent technology provider in the travel industry, has unveiled two significant AI innovations aimed at transforming the hospitality sector. These advancements are designed to help hotels capture demand in emerging AI channels, enhancing their visibility and operational efficiency. The new offerings include an AI commerce solution and Amadeus Max, an AI assistant layer.
The AI commerce solution enables hotels to join AI-powered travel marketplaces, boosting loyalty and simplifying payment processes. It integrates with Amadeus' existing systems, such as the Central Reservation System and iHotelier, to provide a seamless booking experience within conversational flows. This solution is expected to improve hotels' discoverability in AI-generated search results, with early pilots showing a significant increase in qualified traffic.
Amadeus Max, the second innovation, offers intelligent cross-product workflows across the Amadeus hospitality portfolio. It allows hotel professionals to interact naturally with existing solutions, accessing insights and executing actions across multiple products. This tool is already live, with features like Amadeus Max for Adviser, which provides instant access to travel intelligence tools, and Amadeus Max for the Amadeus Travel Advertising Platform, optimising campaign spend across channels.
Francisco Pérez-Lozao Rüter, President of Hospitality at Amadeus, stated, "AI is reshaping how travellers discover, shop, book, and experience hotels across every channel. Our technology simplifies operations for hotel professionals through intelligent, performance-driven tools."
These innovations are part of Amadeus' broader strategy to orchestrate AI-enabled travel ecosystems, ensuring hotels remain competitive and in control of their operations. The company is also collaborating with industry leaders like Google to develop the Universal Commerce Protocol for Lodging, establishing a common framework for AI-driven commerce
