Aman has announced its first Maldivian destination, Amanolu, set within the secluded Vaavu Atoll. Scheduled to open in 2028, the resort will feature 52 keys and 16 branded residences, designed by Kerry Hill Architects. Amanolu combines the Sanskrit word for peace, Aman, with Olu, inspired by the water lily, symbolising serenity and renewal.

The resort's architecture draws from the Maldives' natural beauty, integrating white coralline beaches and turquoise lagoons into its design. Each Aman Residence will occupy its own island, offering either sunrise or sunset views, or both, with uninterrupted vistas from dawn to dusk. These five-bedroom retreats will include expansive indoor and outdoor living spaces, private beaches, and a 25-metre swimming pool, ensuring privacy and connection to the natural environment.

Amanolu will also offer a dedicated wellness island featuring an expansive Aman Spa and signature Spa Houses. An activity island will provide opportunities for diving, snorkelling, and watersports, alongside dining venues and family facilities. The resort aims to deliver Aman's renowned service and personalised attention.

Aman, founded in 1988, has grown to encompass 36 hotels, resorts, and residences worldwide. Amanolu marks the brand's introduction to the Maldives, bringing its signature lifestyle to the archipelago.
