The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Web3 developer Freedomverse teamed up for a new campaign titled Discover Thailand by Amazing Thailand x Freedom World.
This innovative campaign uses Freedomverse's Freedom World mobile app to boost information regarding the country’s many attractions with the online community.
The initiative highlights Thailand's commitment to integrating advanced technology into travel and local business, showcasing the development of digital tools and promoting travel tech.
At the same time, the Discover Thailand campaign aims to involve over 50 local businesses during the initial launch to foster long-term relationships between business owners and tourists. In turn, this bolsters Thailand's image as a destination for the new generation, driving much-needed tourism revenue to local communities, contributing to sustainable economic growth.
Sustainable transformation
According to TAT deputy governor for domestic marketing Somradee Chitchong, the agency aims to revitalise Thailand's tourism industry in 2024 by focusing on quality and sustainable transformation.
Chitchong said: “Our strategic goals include elevating the supply chain to emphasise quality and sustainability, improving tourism infrastructure to facilitate travel at every touchpoint, leveraging digital technology for sustainable growth, and effectively managing external risks."
She added that working with Freedomverse through their app is in line with TAT's goals and also provides a digital platform that enhances travel experiences for the new generation of travellers.

Meanwhile, Freedomverse’s chief communications and marketing officer Didi Wimonpun Wiboonma expressed her company’s enthusiasm regarding the collaboration.
