ANA Holdings orders 8 Embraer E190-E2 aeroplanes

ANA Holdings has announced an order for eight additional Embraer E190-E2 aeroplanes, as decided at its board of directors meeting on 29 July 2026. This move aims to bolster the ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) agreement for ANA flights, enhancing the airline's regional aviation network.

The Embraer E190-E2, a 100-seat class regional jet, is noted for its low fuel consumption and reduced noise emissions, thanks to its advanced engines and technologies. This addition is expected to lower operating costs and provide a flexible supply-demand balance on domestic routes over the medium to long term. This order follows a previous commitment made on 25 February 2025, which included 15 confirmed orders and five options for the same aircraft model.

Koji Shibata, President and CEO of ANA Holdings, stated, "This additional E190-E2 order accelerates our efforts to build a sustainable regional aviation network in Japan. We are excited to deepen our partnership, elevating regional connectivity and delivering a superior passenger experience across Japan."

The aeroplane specifications include a length of 36.3 metres, a tail height of 10.7 metres, a wingspan of 33.7 metres, and a range of 5,278 kilometres, powered by PW1900G engines. ANA Group remains committed to enhancing its domestic flight operations through sustainable practices and strategic fleet expansion
