ATIA hosts webinar on performance management

The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) is set to host a webinar on 28 May, focusing on performance management for its members. This initiative aims to provide business owners and managers with the tools to effectively manage and elevate team performance, ensuring a productive workplace. The 30-minute session will be led by Fiona Corbett from Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors.

Participants will learn to set clear expectations and key performance indicators (KPIs), address issues promptly, and structure performance conversations to drive results. The webinar will also offer a template for documenting performance concerns and guidance on formalising performance issues when necessary.

This exclusive session is part of ATIA's ongoing commitment to support its members, who represent a significant portion of Australia's $69 billion (£55 billion) travel industry. Dean Long, CEO of ATIA, emphasised the importance of the webinar, stating, “As part of ATIA’s support for members, the webinar will provide valuable, applicable advice for members to maximise their business’s performance whilst supporting their staff.”

ATIA represents over 1,120 members and more than 28,000 employees nationwide, playing a crucial role in supporting 16.98 million Australian travellers annually. With 92% of its members being small businesses and 72% of the workforce comprising women, ATIA continues to advocate for the travel industry, ensuring its members are equipped to operate at their full potential
