Austrian Airlines is extending its summer schedule into the autumn holidays by adding 100 additional flights to meet the increased demand during the final week of October. This extension includes popular Mediterranean and European destinations, providing travellers with more options for city breaks and sunny getaways.

The airline's extended programme features continued services to Spanish destinations such as Ibiza, Alicante, Bilbao, and Fuerteventura. Flights to Funchal in Portugal, as well as Olbia, Palermo, and Lamezia Terme in Italy, and Split in Croatia, will also be available. Additionally, Austrian Airlines is increasing frequencies to Rome, Florence, Naples, Dubrovnik, Nice, and Valencia. Notably, Palma de Mallorca and Larnaca will see the largest increase in capacity, with 11 and 13 additional flights, respectively.

As part of the 2026–27 winter schedule, Austrian Airlines is enhancing its long-haul offerings, with more flights to the Maldives and Mauritius. During peak travel periods, these destinations will be served up to seven times per week, with the Maldives seeing up to ten weekly flights during school holidays in February. The Vienna-Mauritius route will feature the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner from mid-January to the end of March.

The airline is also reinstating its twice-daily service to Bangkok, offering 14 weekly flights in January and February, and 13 weekly flights from March until the end of the winter schedule. This increased capacity in Asia is made possible by adjustments to the North Atlantic schedule, with flights to Chicago and Boston continuing until 11 January, and services to JFK New York through 23 January before a brief seasonal pause.
