Bangkok Hospital Hat Yai accredited as premier medical travel destination

Global Healthcare Accreditation (GHA) awarded Bangkok Hospital Hat Yai its prestigious Accreditation for Medical Travel Services.

Part of the Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited, Bangkok Hospital Hat Yai has provided high-quality medical services through contemporary modalities and state-of-the-art equipment since it first opened in 1997.

The hospital’s team of over 70 regular medical specialists and 100 consulting physicians in different areas of expertise minister to residents of Songkhla Province in southern Thailand, as well as patients travelling in from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.

A key destination for medical tourism

According to GHA chief executive Renée-Marie Stephano, the accreditation recognises the hospital’s adherence to international best practices which, in turn, has made it a prime destination for medical travellers.

Stephano said: “GHA is thrilled to grant accreditation to Bangkok Hospital Hat Yai. This achievement showcases the hospital’s unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional care and services to patients from around the globe.”

This accreditation serves as proof of Bangkok Hospital Hat Yai’s commitment to ensuring the highest standards in healthcare and the best medical outcomes, enabling it to earn the trust of both domestic and foreign patients.

An honour and a challenge

For his part, Bangkok Hospital Hat Yai CEO Kritaungkun Chetpaophan remarked that the accreditation marks a proud moment for the hospital, but also a challenge for him and his staff to continue delivering exemplary medical services to patients.

Indeed, the evaluation process enabled the team to see areas for improvement which have since been addressed.

Chetpaophan said: “Through this rigorous evaluation, we have enhanced our communication protocols, streamlined processes, and optimized facilities to create an exceptional medical travel experience for our patients. This recognition acknowledges our tireless efforts and reinforces our commitment to delivering world-class care to international patients.”
