International flights have resumed to the Belitung Archipelago, Indonesia, after a five-year hiatus, marking a significant development for the region. Scoot Airlines now operates a twice-weekly service from Singapore Changi Airport to Belitung, beginning 3 May 2026. The flights, scheduled on Wednesdays and Sundays, depart Singapore at 05:45 and arrive in Belitung at 06:15, with the return journey leaving at 06:50 and reaching Singapore by 09:30.

The reintroduction of these flights is expected to enhance the accessibility of the Tanjung Kelayang Reserve, a 350-hectare sustainable tourism estate located on Belitung's northern coast. Known for its turquoise waters and granite formations, the Reserve is often likened to the 'Seychelles of Asia'. Daniel Alexander Napitupulu, Director of Tanjung Kelayang Reserve, emphasised that the return of flights is about more than just access. "It allows the island to open in a more measured way, creating space for both the destination and its community to grow," he stated.

Travellers can experience a range of accommodations, from the Sheraton Belitung Resort to the Billiton Ekobeach Retreat, each offering unique perspectives on the island.
