The Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) has announced the appointment of Jan Hutton as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July. Hutton, previously CEO of the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse, brings over two decades of experience in tourism leadership across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific.
Hutton's career includes roles such as Managing Director at Ogilvy Group and Chief Marketing Officer at Deloitte Consulting. She has been recognised with several industry accolades, including 'Most Impactful Women Shaping Australian Travel & Tourism' in 2025. Her expertise in destination marketing and digital transformation is expected to advance Bermuda's tourism strategy.
BTA Chairman William Griffith expressed confidence in Hutton's ability to enhance Bermuda's appeal as a premier destination. "Her expertise will help drive the BTA mission of making Bermuda a premier destination for visitors," Griffith stated. Hutton joins at a pivotal time, with new developments in hotel capacity and airlift.
Hutton emphasised her commitment to listening and learning from the BTA team and community. "I'm genuinely honoured to be joining the BTA, and I don't take lightly the responsibility that comes with this role," she said.
Acting CEO Erin Wright will return to her role as Chief Operating Officer. Griffith thanked Wright for her leadership during the transition, noting her role in maintaining stability and advancing key initiatives.
