Capella Ubud celebrates eight years with conservation journey

Capella Ubud in Bali is celebrating its eighth anniversary with "Keliki, Our Home," a two-night immersive experience designed to connect guests with the local community and environment. This initiative, available for booking from 15 April 2026, aims to honour the traditions and natural beauty of Keliki Village, where the resort is located.

The anniversary package includes a stay in a one-bedroom tent with a private pool, daily breakfast, and activities that reflect the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which emphasises harmony between people, nature, and the spiritual realm. Guests will participate in a botanical walk and birdwatching experience, exploring the rich ecosystem of the camp's forest trails and Keliki Village's rice fields.

A highlight of the journey is "Bring Back the Light," a conservation initiative in Taro Village aimed at restoring habitats for fireflies. This community-led effort has successfully brought fireflies back to areas previously affected by chemical farming and artificial light. Guests can witness the return of these luminous insects at dusk.

The experience also includes traditional Balinese rituals, such as Sandikala, held at the camp's temple, and A Soul Reborn, a water purification ceremony at the sacred Wos River Temple. Christian Jaquier, General Manager of Capella Ubud, emphasised the importance of this celebration, stating, "It is about honouring Keliki Village—the farmers, artists, and community whose traditions continue to inspire every experience we share with our guests."

The package is priced from $1,200 (IDR 19,873,023) per night, subject to a 21% tax and service charge, and is available for stays until 31 December 2026
